Abstract

This study critically examines the relevance and dynamics of the South American market for technology-oriented Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). With an ever-expanding global economy, understanding the peculiarities of regional markets is highly important for businesses aiming to thrive and innovate. Through a blend of literature review and market analysis, this research investigates the unique challenges and opportunities inherent in the South American landscape for SMEs in the technology sector. Employing a comprehensive mixed-methods approach, the study focuses on the regulatory frameworks, market entry strategies, and growth trajectories shaping the SMEs in this dynamic region. The implications of these findings extend to policy-makers, entrepreneurs, and investors, offering actionable insights for driving innovation, fostering entrepreneurship, and facilitating sustainable growth in the technology sector across South America. Ultimately, this study contributes valuable insights and practical recommendations to the existing literature, empowering stakeholders to capitalize on the region’s economic potential and contribute to the advancement of the technology ecosystem in South America.
